After school today Matilda changed into this Cinderella dress up outfit and asked to mop the floor.
It is lovely to have the help around the house, but I am ready for her renewed princess obsession phase to pass. I have been reading a book entitled Cinderella Ate My Daughter that is really interesting but is leaving me totally paranoid about the pink-princess-marketing machine. Add to that the increasing chatter about boyfriends and friendship and kissing that is coming home with her these days and it all leaves me feeling totally unprepared.
