Practice for Summer

It's been warm here the past few days so we tried out the pool today. I took just Matilda down yesterday and she was giddy to discover how well she can touch in the pool with her longer legs now! We let Porter try on her old floatation suit; Matilda declared he looked like the Hulk in it! By the time we took pictures Matilda was freezing and not nearly as game for cheese-smiles as her brother.
After the quick swim, Tim called to let us know that Ben & Jerry's was handing out free ice cream around the corner. Score! We all met up with some school friends. The kids had vanilla with fudge covered potato chips, while I enjoyed a new coffee malt flavor. Quite pleasing day all around.
